Sergei Mazaev was to sing "Slavyanskie Tantsi" (Slavic Dances). That entry hasn't been released yet, but the public performance of it was in December 2002. It was sang live on C1R reality show "Fabrika Zvyozd 1" (Fame Story). So "Slavyanskie Tantsi" was disqualified and Mazaev will sing another song instead. Sergei Vladimirovich Mazaev was born on 7th of December 1959. He plays clarinet and sax professionally, he is a vocalist as well. He started to study music at the age of 11. When he was at the army, he participated in parades on the Red Square as a member of Moscow Garrison Orchestra. Then he studied economic science in Moscow Public Institute, but never graduated from it. When he was a student, he played in groups "Sharovaya Molnia" (Ball Lightning) & "Zdravstvuj, pesnya" (Hello, Song). Since 1986 he was vocalist and played sax in group "Autograph". But in fall 1989 Mazaev left that ensemble and joined another group "Moralniy Kodex" (Moral Code). In 1990 band released its debute album «Sotryasenije Mozga» (Concussion of the brain). 4 years after they recorded 2nd album «Gibkiy stan» (Supple figure). In 1996 – album «Ya vibirayu tebya» (I choose you). Their 4th cd «Khoroshie novosti» appeared in 2001. In 2003 Sergei Mazaev was nominated for the best rock singer in National Music Prize of MuzTV channel. Besides his work in "Moral Code" he perform with jazz band of Igor Butman and with female singer Natalia Vetlitskaya. As actor he acted films "Mesto vstrechi izmenit' nelzya" (Place to met can't be changed), "Starie pesni o gravnom - I, II,III" (Old songs about main things), music film "Piklucheniya Buratino" (Pinnocio), "Aprel", "Kopeika". |
