      National Final: On 5th of February 2004 David D'Or's private pre-selection took place. IBA (TV channel in Israel) committee chose David D'Or to be the Israeli entrant because of his successes both at home and abroad. Then David performed four songs. The winning song was chosen in a mixed voting of a special jury , which attributed 40% of the votes, in addition to the 60% which accounted for the viewers televote. Leha'amin, which David D'Or wrote himslef, won 66% of the viewers televotes and 60% of the jury's vote. David D'Or said that Leha'amin was his favourite song in the show and he was happy to know it was also the public's favourite.

      The Biography: D'or is famous for his unique contra-tenor operatic voice, combined with ethnic and modern style music.
      David was born in Israel and graduated the Jerusalem Music Academy. In 1986 David served in the Israeli army, enlisted in a military artistic group. In 1991 David was accepted to the Jerusalem Academy of Music, classical music dept. He was invited to be solo singer at "Carmina Burana" by Carl Orf in Israel's Symphony Orchestra and gave a series of concerts all over the country. In 1992 David had his record debut with the album simply called "David D'Or"
      Later David was invited by the Israeli National Theater "Habima" to be a part of the cast in different performances. David stayed with the national theater for 4 years.
      Side by side with his classical education, David was always drawn by ethnic music, an interest which led him in 1995 to produce his album with the group Natural Choice, comprised of ethnic musicians. This album has been ever since a top choice in all music programs on the radio and TV.
      Same year, 1995, performed for the Pope, a concert in which he combined original ethnic music and European classics. The concert has a huge success and received numerous reviews in many European newspapers and TV interviews. Later he was on tour in the USA's major cities. David continues to tour also in Germany, Turkey and Sweden, where he recorded music for a show under the direction of the Swedish National Theater. In 1997, Ra'anana Symphony Orchestra commissioned an original work, specially written for David, called The Children of God.
      In 2001 David D'Or was named "Singer of the Year" as well as "Best Vocal Performer". Of his six recorded albums, four have gone Platinum and two Gold. He is also a regular guest performer with the world's most prestigious orchestras, among them the Baltimore Symphony, Israel Philharmonic, Rome Philharmonic, Budapest Philharmonic, and Vienna Symphony
      David D'Or's concerts are much in demand all over the world and he continues touring and performing in Israel, Europe and USA.
